Texas High School Basketball - Steele holds off Lovejoy
December 27, 2024: Cibolo, TX 78108 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Steele Knights basketball team scored a close 48-45 triumph over the Lovejoy Leopards.
The Knights (17-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, North Lamar nipped Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX), 46-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Leopards confront the Hays Hawks (Buda, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Lovejoy will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 76-23 league win over Lockhart (Lockhart, TX).
