The Cheraw Braves basketball squad (Cheraw, SC), was trounced 66-40 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC)

The Pirates (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC). The Golden Rams go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Chesterfield smashed Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 66-56, in a non-league outing.

The Braves now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Marlboro County for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 29. Cheraw will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 55-35 non-league win over McBee (McBee, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-5.
