Texas High School Basketball - Emerson nudges MacArthur
December 28, 2022: McKinney, TX 75070 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX) basketball squad nipped the visiting MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX), by a margin of 57-53.
The Mavericks (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Braswell (Little Elm, TX). The Bengals go into the non-league outing with a 12-8 record. In their last outing, Braswell got by Sachse (Sachse, TX), 70-44, in a non-league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Lake Highlands for a 6A Region I District 7 outing on Saturday, December 31. MacArthur will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 47-41 non-league win over Highland Park (Dallas, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-3.
