South Carolina High School Basketball - Lower Richland knocked off by Hammond
December 28, 2022: Columbia, SC 29209 The Hammond Skyhawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets to 44 in the Skyhawks non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Skyhawks now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilson Hall for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 4. Hammond will meet a Barons team coming off a 73-45 non-league loss to Crestwood (Sumter, SC). The Barons record now stands at 4-6.
The Diamond Hornets (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC). The War Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Wagener-Salley was defeated by Blythewood (Blythewood, SC), 83-61, in a non-league contest.
