The Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), 42-32 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Central Cabarrus notched a victory over Monroe (Monroe, NC), 49-43, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Northwest Cabarrus will encounter a Redhawks squad coming off a 49-43 non-league loss to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 3-2.
