In Thursday's non-league outing, the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), by a margin of 55-41.

The Cougars (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, South Caldwell thwarted Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC), 63-55, in a non-league outing.
