December 28, 2023: Havana, AR 72842 In Thursday's non-league outing, the De Queen Leopards (De Queen, AR) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Western Yell County Wolverines (Havana, AR), by a margin of 76-49.
The Leopards (3-6) will now prepare for their match against Malvern (Malvern, AR). The Leopards enter the 4A Region 7 match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Malvern crushed Prescott (Prescott, AR), 65-43, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Western Yell County moves to 13-11 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Mountainburg (Mountainburg, AR) to meet the Dragons in a 2A Region 4 match on Friday, January 5. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 8-5. Mountainburg won 64-43 in their recent non-league match against Cedarville (Cedarville, AR)
