December 28, 2023: Homewood, AL 35209 The Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL) basketball crushed the visiting Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL), 67-44 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Patriots (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL). The Mustangs enter the 6A Area 9 match with a 2-13 record. In their last match, Jackson-Olin was routed by Ramsay (Birmingham, AL), 61-38, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Hueytown moves to 9-9 on the year. The Golden gophers host Hartselle (Hartselle, AL) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, December 29. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 10-9. Hartselle lost 53-44 in their recent non-league match against Spain Park (Hoover, AL)
