Bedford North Lawrence Stars (Bedford, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Evansville Central Bears (Evansville, IN), 51-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bedford North Lawrence upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Stars travel to Jennings County (North Vernon, IN) to play the Panthers in a Hoosier Hills bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Jennings County won 60-22 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Central (St. John, IN)

Next up, the Bears play the Evansville Memorial Tigers (Evansville, IN) in a Southern Indiana bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Evansville Central will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 60-54 non-league loss to South Knox (Vincennes, IN).
