Fountain Hills Falcons (Fountain Hills, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ), 50-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fountain Hills upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ) to play the Shamrocks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Shamrocks come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Yuma Catholic lost 37-29 in their recent non-league test against Payson (Payson, AZ)

The Sabercats now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Skyline for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. Sabino will encounter a Coyotes squad coming off a 54-46 non-league win over North (Phoenix, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 6-5.
