Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host To'hajiilee Warriors (To'hajiilee, NM), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mescalero Apache upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Chiefs host Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Santa Fe Indian won 67-23 in their recent non-league bout against Native American Community Academy (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Warriors play the Rehoboth Christian Lynx (Rehoboth, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. To'hajiilee will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
