December 28, 2024: Tyler, TX 75702 Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Brook Hill Guard (Bullard, TX), 49-35 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Tyler advances its record to 12-7 on the year. The Lions host Hallsville (Hallsville, TX) to face the Bobcats in a 5A Region II District 10 match on Friday, January 3. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 17-6. Hallsville won 57-34 in their recent league match against Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX)
The Guard now own a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dallas Christian for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Brook Hill will face a Chargers squad coming off a 49-35 non-league loss to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 7-13.
