Texas High School Basketball - Memorial can't hold off Byron Nelson
December 28, 2024: Trophy Club, TX 76262 Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Memorial Warriors (Frisco, TX), 66-61 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Byron Nelson advances its record to 12-8 on the year. The Bobcat host Bell (Hurst, TX) to face the Blue Raiders in a 6A Region I District 4 match on Tuesday, December 31. The Blue Raiders enter the match with a record of 13-5.
The Warriors now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Emerson for a 5A Region II District 11 match on Friday, January 3. Memorial will face a Mavericks squad coming off a 72-59 non-league loss to West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 11-6.
