South Carolina High School Basketball - Catawba Ridge routed by Independence

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC), 55-31 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Independence advances its record to 10-2 on the year. The Patriots host Garinger (Charlotte, NC) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Southwestern match on Friday, January 3. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-8.

The Copperheads now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league match on Monday, December 30. Catawba Ridge will face a Panthers squad coming off a 59-51 non-league win over Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 5-7.
