In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lowry Buckaroos basketball team scored a close 66-63 triumph over the Churchill County Greenwave.

The Buckaroos (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Spartans go into the 3A Northern - East contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Spring Creek was tipped by Needles (Needles, CA), 81-68, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Greenwave confront the Elko Indians (Elko, NV) in a 3A Northern - East contest, on Friday, January 3. Churchill County will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record.
