In Saturday's non-league test, the Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) basketball squad defeated the host Ferndale Yellow Jackets (Johnstown, PA), by a score of 54-36.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA) in a Heritage test, on Thursday, January 2. Homer-Center will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Red Dragons come into the test with a 2-8 record after their 63-30 non-league loss to Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA).

The Yellow Jackets (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Johnstown Christian (Hollsopple, PA). The Bluejays come into the non-league test with a 0-3 record.
