The May River Sharks basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Islands Sharks to 59 in the Sharks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Sharks now have a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Benedictine for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4.

With the loss, Islands falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Jenkins (Savannah, GA) to confront the Warriors in a AAA Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 4-5. Jenkins lost 42-34 in their recent non-league game against Thomasville (Thomasville, GA)
