Illinois High School Basketball - Springfield holds off Oak Lawn
December 28, 2024: Springfield, IL 62704 The Springfield Senators basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Oak Lawn Spartans to 54 in the Senators non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Senators now have a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Normal University for a Central State Eight game on Friday, January 10.
With the loss, Oak Lawn falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Stagg (Palos Hills, IL) to confront the Chargers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 0-13. Stagg lost 55-45 in their recent non-league game against Andrew (Tinley Park, IL)
