In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Reed Raiders basketball team scored a close 61-54 win over the South Tahoe Vikings.

The Raiders (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Reno (Reno, NV). The Huskies come into the 4A Northern contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Reno edged Ridgeview (Bakersfield, CA), 57-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the North Valleys Panthers (Reno, NV) in a 3A Northern - West contest, on Wednesday, January 8. South Tahoe will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 8-2 record after their 53-39 non-league win over Eureka (Eureka, NV).
