In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles basketball team scored a big 75-50 triumph over the Starmount Rams.

The Eagles (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks go into the 2A Foothills contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, West Wilkes smashed Starmount (Boonville, NC), 67-66, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Rams confront the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 30. Starmount will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record.
