In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Albany Academy for Girls Bears basketball team scored a big 52-25 triumph over the Central Valley Academy Thunder.

The Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Syracuse Academy of Science (Syracuse, NY). The Atoms go into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Syracuse Academy of Science was trounced by Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY), 66-45, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Thunder confront the Newark Reds (Newark, NY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 30. Central Valley Academy will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Reds go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 60-59 league loss to Waterloo (Waterloo, NY).
