The Bear Grass Charter Bears nipped the host Pamlico County Hurricanes basketball squad by a final score of 63-60 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Bears clash with the Northside - Pinetown Panthers (Pinetown, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, January 3. Bear Grass Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.

The Hurricanes (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Martin County (Williamston, NC). The Gators enter the non-league outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Martin County was nipped by Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC), 47-32, in a non-league outing.
