South Carolina High School Basketball - Crescent can't hold off Pickens
December 28, 2024: Iva, SC 29655 Pickens Blue Flame (Pickens, SC) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Crescent Tigers (Iva, SC), 48-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Pickens advances its record to 6-4 on the year. The Blue Flame travel to Powdersville (Greenville, SC) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 5-7. Powdersville won 79-41 in their recent non-league match against Palmetto (Williamston, SC)
The Tigers now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ninety Six for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Crescent will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 40-28 non-league loss to Emerald (Greenwood, SC). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-3.
