Texas High School Basketball - V.R. Eaton holds off Everman
December 28, 2024: Everman, TX 76140 The V.R. Eaton Eagles basketball team scored 63 points and limited the host Everman Bulldogs to 56 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now have a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Timber Creek for a 6A Region I District 4 game on Tuesday, December 31. V.R. Eaton will confront a Falcons team coming off a 44-43 non-league win over North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 15-7.
With the loss, Everman falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX) to confront the Wolves in a 5A Region I District 8 game on Friday, January 3. The Wolves go into the game with a record of 14-10. Mansfield Timberview lost 69-62 in their recent non-league game against Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX)
