North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom knocked off by North Wilkes

December 28, 2024: Morganton, NC 28655

In Saturday's non-league test, the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), by a score of 59-45.

Next, the Vikings encounter the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a 2A Foothills test, on Monday, December 30. North Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 10-1 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a 9-1 record after their 70-16 non-league win over Triad Baptist Christian Academy (Kernersville, NC).

The Patriots (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers come into the 3A/4A Northwestern test with a 8-4 record.
