December 28, 2024: Buckley, WA 98321 Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host White River Hornets (Buckley, WA), 72-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lynden upgrades its record to 10-0 on the year. The Lions travel to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA) to face the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Saturday, January 4. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 7-2. Mount Vernon won 78-11 in their recent non-league match against Marysville-Pilchuck (Marysville, WA)
The Hornets now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enumclaw for a 3A/4A North Puget Sound - Cascade match on Wednesday, January 8.
