Bishop England Battling Bishops (Charleston, SC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY), 56-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bishop England upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Battling Bishops host Pinewood Prep (Summerville, SC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 14-6. Pinewood Prep won 65-64 in their recent non-league bout against Halls (Knoxville, TN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 2. Lawrence County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 74-49 non-league loss to Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY).
