South Carolina High School Basketball - Cheraw knocked off by Marlboro County
December 29, 2022: Bennettsville, SC 29512 The Marlboro County Bulldogs basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Cheraw Braves to 46 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chesterfield for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. Marlboro County will meet a Golden Rams team coming off a 64-53 non-league loss to Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Golden Rams record now stands at 5-5.
The Braves (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Forest Hills ran past McBee (McBee, SC), 83-51, in a non-league game.
