Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Gaston Day nudges Mt. Lebanon
December 29, 2022: Pittsburgh, PA 15228 Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils (Pittsburgh, PA), 66-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Gaston Day upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Parkersburg South won 96-61 in their recent non-league bout against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA)
Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Baldwin Highlanders (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Mt. Lebanon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 73-48 non-league win over Brashear (Pittsburgh, PA).
