The South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball team (Aiken, SC), was nudged 54-50 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Hephzibah Rebels (Hephzibah, GA)

The Rebels now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midland Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, December 30. Hephzibah will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 62-49 non-league win over Josey (Augusta, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-2.

The Thoroughbreds (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Laney (Augusta, GA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Laney edged Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC), 56-48, in a non-league battle.
