Washington High School Basketball - Sunnyside Christian nips Kiona-Benton
December 29, 2022: Benton City, WA 99320 Sunnyside Christian Knights (Sunnyside, WA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Kiona-Benton Bears (Benton City, WA), 52-46 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sunnyside Christian upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Wahluke (Mattawa, WA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Wahluke won 76-62 in their recent non-league bout against White Swan (White Swan, WA)
Next up, the Bears play the Royal Knights (Royal City, WA) in a 1A South Central - East bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Kiona-Benton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 54-31 non-league loss to Ephrata (Ephrata, WA).
