In Friday's non-league match, the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball team scored a tight 66-59 triumph over the Belton-Honea Path Bears.

In their next game, the Thoroughbreds meet the J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 30. South Aiken will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 2-9 record after their 65-59 non-league loss to Greer Middle College (Taylors, SC).

With the defeat, Belton-Honea Path moves to 8-5 on the year. The Bears travel to Liberty (Liberty, SC) to meet the Red Devils in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 2.
