Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX) and the visiting Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX), saw Juarez-Lincoln's basketball squad hold off Cigarroa by a tally of 49-47.

With the victory, Juarez-Lincoln improves its record to 2-19 on the campaign. The Huskies host Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX) to confront the Rattlers in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a record of 12-11. Rio Grande City lost 55-51 in their recent league challenge against Martin (Laredo, TX)

Next up, the Toros confront the Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Cigarroa will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record.
