The Petal Panthers topped the visiting St. Patrick Fighting Irish basketball team by a final score of 59-51 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 2. Petal will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 8-10 record after their 46-32 non-league win over Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS).
