In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lake Central Indians basketball team scored a tight 51-45 triumph over the Indian Creek Braves.

In their next game, the Indians meet the Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 2. Lake Central will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Kougars enter the match with a 12-5 record after their 44-21 non-league loss to Munster (Munster, IN).

With the defeat, Indian Creek moves to 13-4 on the year. The Braves travel to Brown County (Nashville, IN) to meet the Eagles in a Western Indiana match on Saturday, January 6. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 7-4.
