Virginia High School Basketball - The Covenant overwhelms New Covenant

December 3, 2024: Lynchburg, VA 24501

The The Covenant Eagles basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host New Covenant Gryphons to 8 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host North Cross for a VISAA Blue Ridge game on Thursday, December 5. The Covenant will confront a Raiders team coming off a 50-42 non-league loss to Faith Christian (Roanoke, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, New Covenant falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Temple Christian (Madison Heights, VA) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 1-2. Temple Christian won 27-20 in their recent non-league game against Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA)
