December 30, 2022: Downingtown, PA 19335 The Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) basketball nudged the host Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA), 50-49 in Friday's non-league contest.
The Cougars now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coatesville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Springfield will meet a Red Raiders team coming off a 65-63 non-league loss to Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 6-4.
The Eagles (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against East (West Chester, PA). The Vikings enter the Ches-Mont - National contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, East nudged Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA), 67-54, in a non-league contest.
