Fayette Ware Wildcats (Somerville, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Red Bank Lions (Chattanooga, TN), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fayette Ware upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Union City (Union City, TN) to play the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Golden Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Union City won 56-54 in their recent non-league bout against Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN)

Next up, the Lions play the Baylor Red Raiders (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Red Bank will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 45-35 non-league win over McCallie (Chattanooga, TN).
