North Carolina High School Basketball - Hickory Grove Christian holds off Fort Mill

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Fort Mill Yellow Jackets (Fort Mill, SC), saw Hickory Grove Christian's basketball squad hold off Fort Mill by a tally of 67-66.

With the victory, Hickory Grove Christian improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Lions host Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to confront the Eagles in a NCISAA Metrolina challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 11-6.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets confront the Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Fort Mill will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Copperheads come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 59-48 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC).
