The Judson Rockets (Converse, TX) basketball knocked off the host Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), 61-52 in Friday's non-league test.

The Rockets (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Corpus Christi, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial went down by University (Waco, TX), 58-50, in a non-league test.

The Bears now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Magnolia West for a 5A Region III District 21 test on Tuesday, January 3. Montgomery will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 56-38 non-league win over Caney Creek (Conroe, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-4.
