Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) and the host Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC), saw Scotland's basketball squad overcome Whiteville by a tally of 68-53.

With the victory, Scotland improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Fighting Scots travel to Union Pines (Cameron, NC) to confront the Vikings in a 3A/4A Conference 24 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Union Pines won 59-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Wolfpack confront the West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Whiteville will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 51-44 non-league win over Dillon Christian (Dillon, SC).
