In Friday's non-league outing, the Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), by a margin of 63-36.

The Mountaineers (7-1) will now prepare for their outing against Liberty (Bedford, VA). The Minutemen go into the non-league outing with a 9-0 record. In their last match, Liberty crushed Alleghany (Covington, VA), 66-64, in a non-league match.
