Idaho High School Basketball - Bishop Kelly tops Lehi
December 30, 2022: Boise, ID 83709 Bishop Kelly Knights (Boise, ID) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lehi Pioneers (Lehi, UT), 50-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Bishop Kelly upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Columbia (Nampa, ID) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Southern Idaho bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Columbia lost 31-28 in their recent non-league bout against Capital (Boise, ID)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Timpview Thunderbirds (Provo, UT) in a 5A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lehi will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 54-48 non-league loss to Brentwood School (Los Angeles, CA).
First Quarter
Lehi outscored Bishop Kelly 16 to 11 in the first quarter. Both Hadlie Warren and Addy Scrivner hit three-points shots and Sammi Love added 6 points.
Second Quarter
Lehi went cold in the second quarter scoring just 8 points. Ellie Hill made a three and Sammi Love also had a three. Hadlie Warren added two foul shots and that was all the scoring for Lehi in the period. Bishop Kelly score 18 points and the score going into the second half is 29 to 24 in favor of Bishop Kelly.
Third Quarter
In the third quarter, Sammi Love and Addy Scrivner both hit three-point shots. Both teams scored 10 points in the period and Bishop Kelly held on to a 5- point lead going into the final quarter at 39 to 34.
Fourth Quarter
Lehi was held to just 7 fourth quarter points and Bishop Kelly scored 11. The final score is Bishop Kelly 50 and Lehi 42. Sammi Love led Lehi with 15 points and Addy Scrivner had 12.
