Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting York Cougars (York, SC), 55-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairfield Central upgrades its record to 3-10 on the season. The Griffins travel to Newberry (Newberry, SC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-8.

Next up, the Cougars play the Rock Hill Bearcats (Rock Hill, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. York will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 70-49 non-league loss to Woodmont (Piedmont, SC).
