Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) and the host Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA), saw Shamokin Area's basketball squad overcome Pottsville by a tally of 58-45.

With the victory, Shamokin Area improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a Heartland I challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Jersey Shore lost 65-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA)
