Texas High School Basketball - Tascosa nudges Canyon
December 30, 2023: Amarillo, TX 79102 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX), by a margin of 49-43.
The Rebels (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against Plainview (Plainview, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region I District 3 outing with a 11-12 record. In their last outing, Plainview was tipped by Prestonwood Christian (Plano, TX), 58-54, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they host Randall for a 4A Region I District 4 outing on Friday, January 5. Canyon will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 63-42 non-league loss to Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 13-5.
