The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mardela Warriors (Mardela Springs, MD) and the visiting Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA), observed Mardela's basketball team edge Arcadia by a score of 52-51.

Next, the Warriors clash with the Decatur Seahawks (Berlin, MD) in a Bayside - South test, on Thursday, January 2. Mardela will attempt to upgrade on its 9-1 season record. The Seahawks come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 66-55 non-league loss to City College (Baltimore, MD).
