The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer Patriots (Woodland, CA) and the host Armijo Royals (Fairfield, CA), observed Pioneer's basketball team knock off Armijo by a score of 66-48.

The Patriots (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Vanden (Fairfield, CA). The Vikings come into the Monticello Empire League challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Vanden prevailed over Mountain House (Mountain House, CA), 66-51, in a non-league challenge.
