Kentucky High School Basketball - Marshall County victorious over Sayre
December 30, 2024: Benton, KY 42025 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Marshall County Marshals basketball team scored a good 54-44 triumph over the Sayre Spartans.
The Marshals (13-0) will now prepare for their contest against Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY). The Blue Tornado go into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Paducah Tilghman topped Tri-Cities Christian (Blountville, TN), 73-72, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the Henry Clay Blue Devils (Lexington, KY) in a District 42 contest, on Friday, January 3. Sayre will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Blue Devils go into the contest with a 8-2 record after their 65-50 non-league loss to Simon Kenton (Independence, KY).
