North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern School of Energy and Sustainability can't hold off Westchester
December 30, 2024: Durham, NC 27703 Westchester Comets (Los Angeles, CA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans (Durham, NC), 62-56 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Westchester advances its record to 7-8 on the year. The Comets travel to Inglewood (Inglewood, CA) to encounter the Sentinels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 4. The Sentinels come into the challenge with a record of 11-7.
In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs (Durham, NC) in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes challenge, on Friday, January 3. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 70-32 non-league win over Excelsior Classical Academy (Durham, NC).
